Why am I standing around waiting for a meteor to land on my head? I need to snap out of this deadly dull rut and PDQ. It’s time to make a choice: evolve or die, as the saying goes. If those are my options, I’d better get a move on — the clock is ticking. But what? Where? How?
Well, doesn’t much matter, really. The point is to seek adventure in everything, to quit operating on autopilot and look around. I’m surrounded by grand and glorious stuff. Guess where I found my sudden inspiration, for example. On a trip to the bakery. In there, every day brings something new, something fresh, something delightful. That’s what life should be like. And smell like. And taste like. A burst of wonder.
I don’t know why it took so long to dawn on me, but life is a tragically short gig. I’m going to make the most of it now, while I still can. So hang on, kids, things could get weird — if we’re lucky.
