He wasn’t elected; he was installed. Trump is unfit and irrational, a danger to American interests. He’s also dishonest, self-serving, and a 400-pound embarrassment. So call him a stand-in or a mole, a gatecrasher or a costly mistake, anything but president.
President makes him sound sensible and legitimate. Just like ‘poor’ makes me sound like a conniving swindler, thanks to the constant polemics in DC. What I am, actually, is a person of limited income (or part of the ninety-nine percent). But because I didn’t commit treason or accept billions of dollars in specious loans from foreign governments or defraud donors of charitable contributions, I’m the undesirable.
Do you see where I’m going with this?
We need a reality check, people. We’re allowing deeply corrupt, avaricious politicians to define America. We — you and I — are not that country. We aren’t zealots; we aren’t scaredy-cats or tattletales or doormats; we pander to no one. We’re the good guys, remember? We ride to the rescue and we’re suckers for the underdog. That’s us, that’s the America we are. Ignore Steve Bannon and Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh. Those guys are the Kings of the Disenfranchised. Don’t fall for their victimhood.
Stand up and be an American, for crying out loud. Start a new narrative and drown out the thoroughly compromised loudmouths in Washington.
There, meddle with that, Putin.
